Dagbjartur, a seasoned Emergency and Disaster Response Manager, brings over 35 years of expertise in Search and Rescue, coupled with more than 25 years in emergency and disaster response, collaborating with ICE-SAR, International Humanitarian organizations, and the United Nations. At the start of 2024, Dagbjartur embarked on a transformative journey and joined the Icelandic Tourist Board. In his current role, he spearheads the establishment of a safety-focused initiative within the Icelandic tourism industry.
