Hrafnhildur, in daily life called Habba, started her rescue team career with a team in Kopavogur but in recent years has been working with the Rescue team Kari near Skaftafell. Habba was a ranger with the Vatnajokull national park since 2011 but is now the park ranger. You can find her in the mountains or with a good book.

Within ICE-SAR there are over 90 rescue units of all sizes and make. The Kari rescue team is a small unit, operating within a vast territory in the south east of Iceland. Within their territory you can find two of the most visited sites in Iceland and the frequency and severity of incidentsincidents can be great and severe. Kari works closely with other first responders in that area. Members of Kari face great challenges but also great opportunities.
